Glider or what?
The Pipistrel Sinus C-FYXY is registered in Canada as a GLIDER.
For Transport Canada only one GLIDER category exist.
A GLIDER can be PURE, without any engine or MOTORIZED by different types of engines.
A GLIDER can be MOTORIZED in different ways:

A TOURING, glider able to cruise normally is no different from an ultralight or a conventional airplane like the legacy C150.
CRUISING NORMALLY means that the plane is able to maintain level straight flight, same altitude and constant speed.
PURE, SUSTAINER AND SELF LAUNCHING GLIDER are not able to cruise normally.
